Pursue IIM Lucknow 2 year MBA or not?
Got admission at IIML (interviewed also with IIM B &C). My initial goal was to get into IIM A/B. I have a 9/9/8ish academic record from one of the top 4 IITs , top branches. I have 5 yrs sde work ex in consumer tech company, with 1 yr break since last June. I resigned due to lack of technical and managerial growth in the company. ctc was around ₹35 LPA.
Confident to land an sde-2 role in 3 months, but unsure about career path due to AI. Not interested to be an IC or in engg vertical after 2 years.
Target roles in next 3 years - senior product manager, product strategy, financial analyst.
Long term inclined towards strategy and ownership, with manageable wlb and possible CXO path!
US T15 programmes and LBS etc. might view the break in a negative way, so will apply after 2 years. At that time, I feel might be hit or miss. Not sure so posted here to learn from the community.
Given these goals, is pursuing IIML MBA worth it? I have to decide soon.
I heard it's not great for PM placements, but future opportunities? Can consulting help in any regard? (concerned due to my work-ex)
