I was stopped from entering and eating in Grace mess because i was wearing a sleeveless tshirt. I kept asking why and he just kept telling me to go change. I didn't budge an inch and finally he told me it's because "there are ladies inside".

Brother, what? I understand to an extent if I showed up wearing a banyan or something because that's considered as 'innerwear'. But this is ridiculous.

What's stopping them from telling us we can't wear shorts into the mess 'because there are ladies inside'?

Anyway this just kept bothering me and I just wanted to ask around here to see if I'm genuinely missing something because this is honestly ridiculous.
