Uniden R8 false alert 35.000 GHz 25’ Civic SI
Just wanted to preface this by saying I’m new to radar detectors so thank you for the help. After receiving the detector I set it up with vortex radar’s settings and it worked immaculate. It was originally placed beside my rear view mirror however I moved it due to feeling the right half was being cut off by the front facing camera hindering its performance. I drive a 25’ Civic SI and with the detector setup under my mirror it constantly detects 35.000 GHz KA band. It’s a weak signal (1 out of 4 in strength) and will never stop detecting it. I moved the detector next to the mirror on the left now it only does it intermittently however I feel the detector is being blocked by the upper portion of the window sensor (reference image included). Honda uses camera based forward collision avoidance from what I understand so I am confused where this signal is coming from. If I’m understanding the manual correctly they only use radar for blind spot detection.

Uniden does not seem to allow me to block out just the 35.000 band so I am lost on what to do for now.
