resolved. thank you for your help everyone.

the fix was leaving it on the APPLE charger cord only for approx 30min. Third party cords will not work. don't know why reset didn't work but this did. but for anyone who has a similar issue with it not working after update. try just leaving it on an apple charger for an extended period of time.

idk phone died then, updated when i turned it back on. 30 minutes later of just normal driving, then the phone wont turn on. Any ideas on how to fix? hard reset doesnt work. neither does recovery mode. atp im just gonna go in and get it looked at but if anyone has any other hotfix ideas please lmk.
