conflicted about new car choice

hey guys im having serious trouble figuring out what i want to do with the 2 options i have for a car.

i have the choice of a 2004 subaru outback manual or a 2013 ford explorer

pros of the outback:

basically everything on the outback has been changed

i dont know how much miles is on the subaru but i asked and am waiting for a reply

supposedly the engines are super cheap to work on and replace thats really all i can think of atm

pros of the explorer

its newer

the water pump has been replaced but the timing chain has not (the explorer has 110,000 miles on it again all i can think of at the moment

the cost for the subaru is 4k

the cost of the ford is 7k

im really stressing about this and need help
