2005 cooper S convertible new tires help

Hey mini people!

I recently got a nail in one of my run flats on my girlfriend’s mini. I’m trying to convince her to ditch the run flats all together, and instead get some quality all seasons

This is not a daily driver or commuter or road trip car. We have a Camry for that stuff. It’s a car we drive when the Camry is in use, and for fun and small errands when we wanna have a nice drive.

We currently have two full sets of wheels and tires. 4 eagle f1 run flats on the stock 17 inch wheels for summer and 4 Bridgestone blizzak run flat winter tires in the stock 16 inch wheels.

I’m interested in getting a good all season to leave on the car year round, instead of swapping every season. I want to use a few of our extra wheels as the spare(s). From my little bit of research, a lot of people say to ditch the run flats, and go to a 15 or 16 in wheel. The ride on the summer run flats on 17 inch wheels is rough on Chicago streets.

I’m looking for any suggestions you guys might have! I’m thinking about using the 16 inch wheels with 4 new all seasons, and keeping one or two of the 17inch wheels as spares. The winter tires still have good tread on them, and the summer run flats are all reaching their end. Not sure what to do. Thanks for your help!
