Diagnostic tool for 7800x3d?
I have recently had hardware related issues with my 9070 XT rt cores and is currently sent for RMA. Its a rare issue and nothing on the software side could solve it. Anything Ray tracing related is either unstable, freezes, crashes or shows graphical artifacts (specifically flashing lights, flashing firefly like effects).
Settings like capping fps to 30 and reducing resolution to 720p does not change the outcome. However when RT is turned off the games run flawlessly at high fps in 1440p. Steel Nomad runs flawlessly no matter what I tune the GPU to. (7200 to 7900). Time Spy crashes half way or near the end, some times it doesn't even start.
Cyberpunk is the clear test to reproduce the issues. Runs smoothly flawlessly on highest settings 1440p RT off. The moment any RT is on, and I mean ANY, as in just local shadows and medium Lightning the game runs for a few seconds crashes or freezes. Any higher RT and it wouldn't load into the game save or in game benchmark tool. 1080p capped to 30fps with endless combinations, with RT on I get issues.
Anyway sorry for ranting about GPU but now I am suspicious of other components mainly my CPU 7800x3d. Is there a way to test the CPU to confirm that its 100% healthy and does not need to be returned or replaced? My PC is 11 months old the CPU is within the 3 year warranty. No overclocking, PBO or anything other than default state. Temps are perfectly fine.
Any advice is welcome, after 11 months of owning a gaming PC I still consider myself new. Thanks!
