Hi! I'm Tara (She/They), and I'm looking to DM a long term D&D 5e game based heavily off of the little ice age that took place from the 1300s to 1800s. Beyond that when designing the setting I took heavy inspiration from ASOIAF, Warhammer, and Dark Souls/Berserk. About Me: I'm currently going to college for Environmental Studies in Washington, and hoping to work in Wildlife Rehabilitation some day! I've been playing D&D and other TTRPGs for about 7-8 years now. As for hobbies I like going hiking, watching movies, playing video games, and I love seals.

Campaign Hook:

97 years ago an unknown mage performed a great ritual, one that brought both increased magic and cold into the world. Fields that grew enough grain to feed a family could now only feed but two people. Strange beasts and monstrosities reentered the world, and those who once couldn’t even perform a card trick can now summon a torrent of fire. Though many gained new found power few understood its weight, those that did were spared by church and state, those that weren’t were sent to the gallows as witches. Blame was cast freely falling on the sick for spreading their disease, the wealthy for their hoarding, and even the poor elves, whose race has still yet to recover from the Great Elven Dusk hundreds of years ago.

On the Continent known as Sathis, in the Kingdom of its name sake, a civil war rages on. This war started three years ago, not long after the death of King Therik the Good, largely motivated by the religious discrepancies between North and South, the North following the Pontifical Church, and the south following the Conflagration of Man. Since then, many battles have been fought, but few with a clear victor. Both sides, marred in religious hatred and zealotry, show no signs of stopping.

In this time any job will do as long as it gets you by, even mercenary work, you are such people. Four weeks ago an unsanctioned pyromancer, by the name of Garith Ular, set fire to the Teklus family manor with their eldest daughter and a low ranking church witch hunter still inside. You all have been sent upon his trail by the Teklus Family directly, sent to a small town named Naiton Mill, to meet with several others of your ilk and combine your efforts to capture this madman.
