I have had a kindle for not that long, maybe a year. I have had previous versions but this is recent. I had been meaning to jailbreak it a long time ago, but I got too busy and never got to it.

But now, my kindle firmware is at 5.09 and I have yet to find any way to jailbreak it. Does anyone know if it could be jailbroken? If not, is there anyway to degrade the firmware?

Is buy a new or used kindle my only option?
