Having played Rust for thousands of hours with hundreds of people, and having grown and developed a lot as a person over these years, I think I found the secret to Rust happiness.

It starts with Why you play Rust, which is something you might not even be conscious of, or what you think is your goal might actually not be the case. Why you play rust can develop over time, with any game. This will determine the general direction you take in a wipe. If you know your Why, the path to satisfying gameplay becomes clearer.

Why people play rust determines how competitive they are, and whether or not you are comfortable playing 10x or strictly vanilla.

By far the most important and challenging part of finding happiness in Rust is to play with the right people. The wipe can be successful and everything can go smoothly, but if people get angry and quit, or personalities clash and can't be resolved, the wipe ends and the team often splits up.

Having a team of people who can be human together by overcoming losses, and talking through misunderstandings, for the love of the game and helping each other grow is the type of team that leads people to happiness.

I'm 30 with over 6k hours, I love to build and defend and survive the wipe all the way. I don't stop when pop slows down, and I don't stop when the base is full of loot. What I need is more people who can drop into the wipes I play, who can make the most of all the loot and have fun without worrying about pixels. Whether you're a strong solo who can grind without guidance, or a newbie who wants to be told what to do, we can still have fun in a wipe together.

Let me start by telling you my only real requirements for who I play with is that you don't cheat, you aren't racist and you want to get better at the game no matter how good you are. I want to play as a team of chill adults, maybe I can join your next wipe or you can join me when I play next.

I love wipes as a team and getting a competitive start but I also love hopping in a server mid wipe when its lower pop. I can play any server but I prefer doing online raids and defenses so I play on 2x and 5x as solo - quad.

I'm 30, NA with 6k hours, lots of building experience and I can do all content solo, I can be ingame mostly Fri/Sat, when I have weekends available to play I am usually trying to play in a wipe with people.
