Hi everyone, I am a penultimate year non-NLU student trying to secure internships at T-1 and T-2 law firms​ for the upcoming months. I’ve been considering cold mailing partners/associates directly, but I’m unsure how effective it actually is in practice. Has anyone here successfully landed an internship this way?

If yes, I'd appreciate insights on:

1. Whether you cold mailed partners or reached out to them on LinkedIn?

2. How you structured your mail?

3. Approximate response rates

4. Any firms where this method worked better

5. Things you wish you had done differently.

Any honest experiences would be really helpful.
