Hello, I'll be camping at Pfeiffer campground in Big Sur soon and could use some advice on food safety with bears and other wildlife.

The website says "store food in provided containers" but the sites amenities specifically say there are no bear boxes. Called and confirmed this as well.

Back up option people say is to store in your car but we will be car camping not tent camping.

I looked online and learned about bear canisters but could use a bit more advice.

What do people usually do for this?
