I bought a discounted computer desk from IKEA (Mittzon desk), but it’s missing a small part—specifically, the cable management compartment. So, what can I do to set up cable management?

I have a laptop with an Nvidia 4070, and it’s a more-than-decent machine. Sure, it doesn't run every single new game on Ultra settings; yes, it heats up like a nuclear reactor; and yes, it sounds like a Boeing taking off—but have you guys actually *seen* the prices for RAM and SSDs lately? So now I’m asking myself: should I start building a PC, or try to find a way to improve the laptop's cooling and just buy an external monitor for it?
