New friends on the south east side of Chicago for summer memories?
Hey everybody, I’m looking for folks who want to plan some hangouts on the south side. I think folks commonly mistake community for friendships, and this can cause people to feel extracted from and forgotten, or folks would make my situation out to be better even if they were coming from privilege. I have confronted and/or stepped back from people who made me feel this way and had no limits for what they asked as I am not in a place of privilege or low dignity to be extracted from. Instead of allowing that to keep happening, I’d like to make space for people who value having fun and making memories
I want to propose a south side hang/series of hangouts out that center fun, compatibility and mutual support. I don’t have any concerns ab who’s interested as long as you’re an adult and on the south side. I would love to brainstorm with anyone around this even if it’s low maintenance. There has also been a lack of class consciousness in many communities, so I want to propose something that is simple, free, accessible, and only asks people to bring what they can. Let’s play giant uno, volleyball, exchange snacks, and play good music. If you’re interested let’s create some memories. I love the lake, but open to any and all ideas
