Hi, 20M here. Went for consultation weeks ago to find out why my second molar on the right side is only partially erupted, like barely 1/5 of the teeth can be seen, rest covered by gum. So found out that my wisdom tooth is blocking the second molar's growth, which is actually quite rare??

Will be doing the surgery next month but the dentist said that it might take 3 months or even longer for the second molar to grow out.

May I ask if it will definitely erupt or no guarantee? Because im getting braces afterwards so i hope it grows out for the braces to align all my teeth together. If it doesn't erupt, what can be done?
