I have an Aiwa TV/VCR combo that generally works fine. However, when I play newer VHS tapes, mostly ones that seem to have been made after around 2000, I start seeing the issue shown in this video. Sometimes the picture also starts flashing or displaying strange lighting effects while the movie is playing. I have a few older tapes that play without any problems. Could this just be due to lower-quality tapes, or should I consider opening the TV/VCR and cleaning the heads?
