Okay! Alright! So let's do this! First and foremost, I really appreciate all of the kind words and comments that I've gotten to my drawings so far! There has been a lot of wonderful things said and nice discussions too! So thank you to all who've been supportive or kind.
Next. There's also been a few other comments that were pretty dang negative. From I used all AI, to some AI, to plagiarism. Neat. So let me get this straight. If someone draws something really cool, and then draws something else kind of basic, they're using AI? If they decline to show layers, it's obviously AI? Ok. Well what about the dude that says layers aren't good enough? That anyone can fake them? Are we just going to assume that everything we see is also AI until shown a live video disproving it? Listen. I'm not out here looking to draw live. I'm just making fanart for a game that I really enjoy. And fun fact? I DESPISE coloring. I hate hate hate doing it. So when you go cruising through my deviantart, you'll see mostly lineart. I like lineart. It's fun for me. And when I do color? Usually it's super low effort. That doesn't mean I can't spice it up and make it pop. I can. I just prefer not to. And last I checked, we're allowed to have personal preferences.
Next. Some of the people who have been really negative here are claiming that they're "real artists." Cool. You wanna gatekeep the hobby from others because they're not up to your level? Pretentious. Kind of self indulging to just blatantly call someone else's stuff AI because you're a "professional" and they're not. Yeah sure you can request the line art, or layers, or whatever, but what gives you that right? What makes you so prestigious that you can do that? Especially when you aren't even making chaos zero fan art of you own. Go on Mr. Real Artist. Put out a banging Nia drawing. We'd all love to see it.
I've now shown my work. I've included several steps of my process, and also my bare naked lines. Is it perfect? Nah. And I don't really care if it is or isn't. This took me five hours to draw, and capturing every step along the way was ultra BOOOORING!
And yeah, I know. "We want to see it colored. Prove that your colors aren't AI." Yes yes. I know. It's going to take me some time to do that though. I hate coloring and taking the time to stop as I go to show what I did is going to take even longer. Wasting time that I could've otherwise used to do something else more important. But whatever. I'll do it. Even if it falls on deaf ears since these "real artists" can decide what's real and what isn't.
Oh! And btw. My Amir is level 60. I don't regularly use her but I still think she's pretty cool. Especially her art!
