Was Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom simply a hype campaign for Rune Weapons?

Was Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom simply a hype campaign for Rune Weapons?

One or two years late on this but I finally saw Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom now that it's available on Netflix. After somebody mentioned the ending credit scene, I'm convinced that the entire war over the Sacred Kingdom was an attempt to market the Nazarick's export of rune technology.

Watching a Story Unfold on GPT with Hilarious Effects

Prompt 1: Saitama falls into the sewers and sees shadowy figures in the background.

Prompt 2: Saitama meets the The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Prompt 3: They drive to pick up pizza

Prompt 4: They encounter the Noid who steals their pizza.

Prompt 5: The Tick catches the Noid and returns the pizza to Saitama.

Prompt 6: They realize the pizza is ruined. The Noid tries to deflect blame.

Prompt 7: Hello Kitty suggests In-and-Out Burgers instead.

Prompt 8: Everybody is now inside In-and-Out.

Prompt 9: The Michelin Man offers hot chocolate

Prompt 10: Rumi from K-pop Demon Hunters walks into the restaurant

Prompt 11: The Flying Spaghetti Monster rips open the roof and asks for some fries.

Lessons Learned:

(1) Once you add something into the story, GPT will tries to keep everything in the same story. The content just keeps piling on.

(2) Can't use Mario or Luigi.

(3) I probably need to use an editor to increase the brightness for the pictures.

I asked for Pinup … but felt that something was missing. So I asked for the Ecchi version instead.

Now to fight with GPT over what is and what is-not a content violation of something already created.

Actual Prompt: movie trailer for “San Andres” where Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson plays just a rock. He’s literally a rock. Replace all the action scenes with a rock.

Commentary: I'm amazed Sora got the idea.

I used to create Sora Videos. Now I'm a Sora refugee looking for somewhere to find inspiration, share slop, and gain insight how I can improve my prompts.

My first attempts at creating an AI image collection using ChatGPT.

Images depicting a stylized character inspired by Juri Han in a gothic/cyberpunk aesthetic, set primarily inside or near the neon-lit "Bar Ketsune" venue.

At this point, I'm constrained by "We’re so sorry, but the image we created may violate our content policies. If you think we got it wrong, please retry or edit your prompt."

This is part of my Sora: Unhinged series where I test out what Sora could do without the App safeguards.

Prompt: Leonardo DiCaprio reprises his role as Jack in “Titanic” where he’s freezing in the ocean and Kate Winslet as Rose is on the headboard. Leonardo tells Rose to move her fat ass over to the side because the headboard is big enough for both of them. He gets on the headboard and they both survive. Cue end credits and “The End”

There are folks who love making videos about Donald Trump, Taylor Swift, Tom Holland, and the list goes on. Bright line content restrictions still exist via Sora API (e.g. nothing pornographic, no gratituous violence from what I gather) but the IP standards are less rigid through API than previously under the direct supervision of OpenAI.

I thought that the final month of Sora on OpenAI felt like the Wild West but Sora: Unhinged shows you what Sora could do without a fraction of the safeguards.

Oh - and no watermarks again.

I asked for 2001 Space Odyssey fanfare, they gave me Avengers ...

Mad props to u/downsouth316 for taking the time to create a website and attempting to create a business model that could serve the masses. I don't know how you do it because I just don't see how you'll manage to stay out of the red.

I ... on the other hand ... asked AI to create me a personal Sora API portal to generate my own videos and here's what I learned:

(1) You can create Sora videos directly from OpenAI for a price.

(2) You need a credit card.

(3) Every ONE (1) second of video costs $0.10 USD. So that's $0.80 for an 8-second video (which we've grown accustomed as "10 seconds"

(4) There is still content moderation! Even without the Sora ecosystem, there is still OpenAI content moderation filters.

(5) Sora gave us 30 video generations. Assuming you were a Plus user, that's $20/month but 30 days of video generations meant potentially 900 videos a month. Even assuming that you were only able to generate 8-seconds worth of videos, that meant each user could cost $720 each month (900 videos x $0.80 USD) and therefore operate at a loss of $700 per month. What a fucked up bargain at the expense of OpenAI.

(6) Everybody who whined about Sora being crap despite handing us free video generations have no idea the true cost of getting something free.

(7) Luckily, content violations may not end up costing you extra to generate.

I'm a Sora refugee looking for a new platform and community to create content. For now, I found solace in creating simple "images" using ChatGPT.

What I missed about Sora was the community feedback when publishing a video. It just feels ... empty ... generating images alone in GPT without anybody to comment or share.

I'm not certain about the artistic style but GPT calls it "semi-real material pass" and I've been generating a number of design guides in hopes of creating consistency in new projects.

I know I joked about Sora Export being a complete dud but ... I guess it does work?

I already used SoraVault to download all of my videos. So this is just a 3rd back-up (in additional to manually backing up everything over the past month).

Update: So I asked for an export some time ago. No idea when and no idea which account I'm even looking at. I just keep my screen open and it said that there's something to download. The problem right now is that nothing's actually downloaded when I click on each file. Perhaps it timed out? Perhaps I tried downloading too much at the same time?

Update 2: I downloaded one Zip file at a time. And that worked better. It's 1.01 GB. Geez ... what have I been doing?

Officially, this was the last Sora video that I created April 27, 2026, during the first grace period. Little did I know that Sora employees would continue to toy with our emotions but we appreciate every extra minute we get.

I managed to squeeze out a few more videos this April 28, 2026, but a stupid thing called "a job" meant I wasn't able to create more or download properly (I downloaded on my phone after each creation knowing that time was of the essence without saving all the meta data as a separate file).

Still ... I can't help but wonder what they think of our comments here ...

This is my rendition of a typical brainstorming meeting at Sora, especially when it cuts off halfway through the punch line.
