Hi, I am currently writing a research paper in how early gaming toxicity effects long-term participation in esports.
A bit odd I know but please take part in my survey if you are above the age of 16 and you currently or previously ever played any video game, especially if you have received any negative or mean comments or behaviour in them it takes 5-10 minutes to complete.

All data will be collected, analysed and stored for 10 years in accordance with the University Campus of Esports’ Data Protection Policy. All data collected from the survey will be strictly confidential and will not be shared with the public. All data collected will be seen by the researcher and supervisor. The results will be used for potential publication and public discussions in academic settings, while remaining 100% anonymous. Participation in this research is voluntary. You are not obliged to take part and are free to withdraw at any time, without any obligation to give a reason. However, once the form has been submitted, we will not be able to delete your data due to it being anonymous. Your consent is required for you to continue with the survey no data is collected before it is attained.
Some questions in this survey touch on experiences of toxic behaviour and its emotional impact. If at any point you feel distressed or uncomfortable while completing this survey, you are encouraged to take a break or stop participating entirely. Should any questions bring up difficult feelings, please consider speaking with someone you trust, such as a friend or family member. You may also wish to contact your GP, or reach out to a mental health support service such as Samaritans (116 123, available 24/7 in the UK). Your wellbeing is more important than completing this survey.
