Some books feel too special to exist only as ordinary volumes — The Hobbit has always been one of them to me.

Ever since I first read The Hobbit, I always felt that this story should exist as an old, treasured volume — something mysterious, like a journey into the unknown 🙂

So I tried to create this edition with exactly that feeling in mind. I wanted it to feel less like an ordinary book and more like something that could have been discovered on a forgotten shelf somewhere in Middle-earth — a volume carrying memories of distant roads, old maps, firelight and adventure.

Many of the details were meant to make the book feel tactile, atmospheric and slightly mysterious sitting on a shelf.

I wanted it to feel like a book that belonged to the world of the story itself 🙂

A Hobbit edition inspired by old journeys, the libraries of Middle-earth, and the idea of a volume Bilbo himself might have kept on a shelf in Bag End 🙂

Ever since I first read The Hobbit, I loved imagining that somewhere in Middle-earth there could exist old, treasured volumes telling the story of Bilbo’s journey — books whose physical form feels like part of the story itself 🙂

So I tried to create this edition with exactly that feeling in mind. The layered wooden covers were inspired by Erebor, Smaug, old travel maps, and the feeling of setting out toward adventure and the unknown. Many of the details were meant to make the book feel warm, tactile and slightly mysterious sitting on a shelf.

I also kept the original illustrated endpapers and maps from the published edition because they fit the atmosphere of the volume so naturally.

I thought fellow Tolkien collectors here might also enjoy seeing it 🙂

I imagined the Chronicles of Narnia as an old illustrated chronicle from Cair Paravel

Some stories stay with us long after childhood, and Narnia was always one of those worlds for me.

I wanted this handcrafted single-volume edition to feel like an old illustrated chronicle that might have once rested somewhere in Cair Paravel itself — something quiet, timeless, and meant to be returned to over the years.

I wanted the Witcher short stories to feel like an old Northern Kingdoms archive tome

The Witcher short stories always felt like the kind of stories that deserved a form that felt heavier and more enduring than a standard modern book.

So I created a handcrafted volume combining The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, built around a wooden structure and inspired by the atmosphere of old Northern Kingdoms archives and libraries.

The silver cloth, dark wood, metallic page edges, and engraved white wolf emblem were all chosen to make the book feel closer to an artifact from the Continent than a traditional edition.

I wanted it to feel like something that might genuinely exist on a shelf in Oxenfurt or Kaer Morhen.

ACOMAF deserved a handcrafted edition

Some stories feel temporary. Others feel like they deserve to physically endure.

A Court of Mist and Fury was one of those stories for me.

I handcrafted this edition slowly and entirely by hand, with the idea that books like this should feel lasting — something meant to be kept, displayed, and returned to for years.

Thought some of you here might appreciate it.
