
I've seen this post on insta. Might be a fake post, I am posting this here to show the failure of the justice system.
The core of her argument is about the Social Contract. We are told as citizens: "Don't seek revenge; let the law handle it." In exchange, the law is supposed to provide a sense of closure and safety.
When the State releases a violent offender against the victim's plea, the State is essentially "defaulting" on that loan. Her point is that the State is acting as a middleman that has forgotten who the actual "client" is. You cannot "rehabilitate" someone's debt to a victim if the victim is still living with the daily interest of that trauma.
