Heading out on an international flight tomorrow. It’s a direct flight. Day hikes everyday on challenging terrain and 60 yo knees—I need poles. Is there a way around checking a duffle with poles? I’d like to simply pack a 40l with a smallish day pack inside. I can of course buy poles on arrival, but I now have many sets as a result of this strategy. I’m not missing a carry on strategy, am I?
