My insurance cost on a 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS

So in February of 2024, when I was 17 (2 months before I turned 18) I was involved in a accident in which I rear-ended the car in front of me and my insurance claimed me at fault before police and ems showed up. About 3 months later, I bought another car my 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS. After my accident I had to get my own insurance due to the insurance price going up and I couldn't stay on my mom's insurance. I had been paying around $210 per month for it, however I ended up going to another country for a couple of years so I had canceled my auto policy. I recently got back and am trying to get insurance again so I can drive, and I got quotes through a company called "Compare.com", and with DirectAuto it says I would be paying under $93 per month after the initial payment of $98. I turned 20 years old in April 2026, and I was just wondering if the accident had fallen off or if insurance is being more lenient with my rates since it's been over 2 years since my accident and I have never had any traffic violations or claims besides my accident. I'm really curious as to why my rates have plummeted, not that I'm complaining, also I live in NC
