Must...be...strong 🥺😢

Tora had her first real car ride today, and quite a few of them! Transportation to a checkup and from a check-up twice!(Because they forgot to put more of her anti-flammatory syringe meds for her spay in the bag and didn't realize until we got home.) She was a little bit anxious and overstimulated on the highway because of all the cars during the first ride on the way there and she started whining a lot but she calmed down by the second ride on the highway and just looked out the window and stuck her snout in the open part 🤣 The last two pictures are just her paws because for some reason, she has one white toe on one single foot and there's no white on the rest of her paws. I thought that was cool and interesting!

Due to me looking for funny things to call her and some of them sticking, her full name is now canonically Toraline. It rhymes with Coraline, like the movie but put a "t" at the beginning instead of "c."

Also, it did *not* take her very long to take over my bed. Love that for her, not even a full 24-hours. Good. That means she feels safe with me and I want her to 🥺🥰

She's very friendly and snuggly, not super timid(aside from when we were leaving the shelter), loves other people and dogs(no barking so far, just a lot of observing and soft tail wags), walks on leash almost perfectly(which is wild considering that she was a street dog and nobody ever taught her), and she's already getting nice and comfortable in her new home and taking a snooze!

This is Tora. She's a 1 year old pitbull mix and she was a stray, somebody found her as a street dog and turned her in to one of the local shelters. I visited her today and she's so sweet, I absolutely adore her. The only thing is that obviously, she's very *very* thin from being on the streets and not having anyone feed her for so long. I reassured the shelter staff that as soon as she comes home, I will fix that *very* quickly. I'm adopting her in a couple days as soon as she's done being spayed/neutered! I posted her in r/pitbulls and somebody directed me to here too 🥰
