Right on Route 66

I picked up a 2001 Tohatsu 5hp 4-stroke outboard, and the owners and service books I have found online indicate there should be a telltale water stream when running, but I cannot see where it is, or if there even is one. The picture from the owners manual shows it as in the pic.

Model is MFS5A2.

It seems to run fine, has great compression, but now I’m worried that it will overheat.

I plan on doing a valve adjustment, oil and gear lube change, perhaps the impeller too.

Any ideas?
