Hi all - I have a 2018 Equinox where the cover on the panoramic sunroof has detached and may need a full replacement. Took it to a dealer to get a quote and it’s fairly expensive, but I’m wondering if local repair shops can also help. First time ever having an issue like this so thought I’d get input from others.

Anyone here have a similar issue before and had a good experience with local places that you could recommend? I’ve seen other posts recommending different auto repair shops in town for general maintenance, but I’m not sure if this repair requires more specialized knowledge with the make or not which is why I’m asking. I know some shops will only do general car maintenance/repairs. Thanks!
