Castle Ruin Lichtenegg, Wartberg Styria Austria.

Built 1395 by the lower noble family Lichtenegg as an upgrade to their farm.

After the extinction of the Lichtenegg family some time after, the Castle passed through many owners. Ultimately ending up 1757 in the Hands of the Inzaghi Counts, which briefly lived there. The castle has been abandoned since 1790.

1792 Count Attems, owner of the castle by marriage, dismantled large parts of the castle to assist the rebuilding effort of a nearby city, which had suffered damage from a wildfire.

1928 the Ruinrestorationclub (what an absolutely disgusting translation, let me try again) the Castle Ruin Association of Wartberg was founded to rebuild and maintain the castle overlooking their city.

1979 the castle was gifted to the CRAW by Therese Spiegelfeld, herself a descendant from the counts of Attems, making them the owners to this day.

Today the castle contains a Tavern, a very cool homemuseum housing everything between medieval weaponry and state of the art fire extinguishers, and a Platform on the Tower overlooking the city.

I forgot to ask the CRAW if I am allowed to post this, so I only used pictures of freely accessible parts of the castle.
