Three months ago, I had what seemed like an eye infection in my left eye (the one on the right in the photos), but there was no bump. My entire eyelid became red and very painful. I used warm compresses for a couple of days, and the pain and redness went away. However, the swelling remained, and it has persisted ever since.

I have seen a doctor a couple of times. They told me they thought it was blepharitis and recommended using Tobradex and Frex Clean T for a week, but it did not improve. On my own, I decided to apply warm compresses daily for three weeks, both in the morning and at night. The swelling started to improve slightly, but during the last few days of the third week, my eyes became red and painful again, so I decided to stop.

Then I traveled to another city in my country where the weather is warmer than where I live. While I was there, my eye seemed to improve significantly. However, on my last day of the trip, I was exposed to people smoking near me, and that night I took a long hot shower. The next day, my eyelid became quite swollen again.

Now I am back in my colder city, and my eyelid is not improving like it did when I was in the warmer place. I’m not sure whether I should continue using warm compresses or avoid heat altogether. Honestly, I don’t know what to do, and I’m worried because my eye is still like this.
