How can i help my son pass maths!
Hi there. My son started maths as a smart kid, then one by one start failing back. In the primary school he finished with mostly Cs just because his teacher says feels bored during tests and doesnt continue them. then he went to Gymnasuim, 5th year he was mostly Ds. till he got an F (5) we got him a tutor then he managed to level up and get C,and one time B. this year he is in 6th class, they had 5 tests so far, only succeeded in one, with a C. he has a good tutor, he says he is working good at home. we make daily 45 mins practice, 20 mins mental maths and 30 mins training on new old topics. then he makes around 4 simulation tests at home before the real exam (no books, no help , no notes) and he got 3s in all of them. then in the test he got a 5!! am not blaming him for not being able to solve things that are hard or has a bigger level of difficulty, i am surprised because in the tests, even the things he practiced on daily and knows the rule and how to do it, he still messes them up with careless mistakes. he is of course very frustrated and disappointed that he studied and prepared so well , and still failed. if he solved the things he knew well, he would have passed. how can i help , i dont want maths to become a failure pattern for him, and I want him to be able to focus during the exam on the things that are familiar to him so he can only pass the exam. what should i do?
