How do i (18f) show that i appreciate his (19m) efforts?
ok so he has been busy with his internship for past 2 weeks but tried his best to keep me in the loop ie, calling me for 10 mins in his lunch breaks, calling at night for 30-45 mins and texting here and there. BUT i really fucked up by expressing my disappointment about the minimal contact on just day 1 and 3 of his internship. We talked through it and resolved the issue. He did tell me how he felt discouraged and a little upset that I'm not being understanding about his situation.
However it's been 2 weeks and he's finding it difficult to call at night and wants to text. I can tell he is very tired by the way he is texting. The convos are not even stimulating. I feel like im being overbearing and i feel like i complained tooo much. Now it feels like he is only doing daily calls out of obligation and is bracing for impact before asking me if he can just text for the night. I feel like a burden that he is dealing with. I told him that today and it resulted in another disagreement.
i feel horrible because he is trying his best and i made him feel like he's not doing enough.
i wanna show him that i'm not a task he has to deal with and i appreciate everything he is doing. i wanna show him that i'm not here only to pick fights and just another headache he has to deal with after a long day of work.
