Gritty brown blood for 11 days

sorry - 2nd post in short space of time

I am on cycle day 57 and day 11 of spotting - in those 11 days i have had no fresh red blood only occasionally pink but mostly very gritty brown almost black at times. Has anyone experienced this instead of a period? I have only had 2 proper period this year so far and the rest has been so light i can only describe it as spotting!

Irregular PCOS?

Over the last 5 years since I have been diagnosed with PCOS I have consistently had irregular periods, however, there have been times during that 5 years when my hormones have decreased to a 'normal level' (test and androgens). And my ovaries have gone from presenting as polycystic to presenting normal on ultrasound. Hormones did jump back up and have remained consistently high for at least 6 months now, no ultrasound recently to compare ovaries. Is irregular PCOS a thing?
