Fav Comfort Series! [Mayday Mayday Mayday! || Payday]

Mayday Mayday Mayday! Is first, and then the sequel is Payday! Follows the same couple (different artists, same author)

Sources: Mayday Maday Mayday! || Payday
Where to Read: Lezhin for both
Warnings: Non-Con (not between MC/ML, it's a past event brought up) / Violence (not between MC/ML)

I enjoy yandere/possessive MLs who are pretty firm in their ways, and Vasya is one of those guys! It's a pretty simple/straight forward series imo and I just enjoy the way Yuno ends up falling into Vasya's arms.

Yuno also isn't totally frail or weak or stupid- still a wimpy lil bottom but he's got fun fire to him that makes some of his interactions with others interesting!

It's not fluffy by any means LOL, but it's an easy read, it's fun, and neither characters really piss me off. It also isn't really abusive between MC/ML, which makes it a good read when I want a yandere top without having to deal with abuse/non-con. While there aren't any side couples or anything, I do enjoy the side characters! I feel like they do add a decent bit to help build both Yuno and Vasya further :)

The art style change between the first and the second is jarring, especially since there are some character design changes (Vasya were u wearing contacts the whole time...)

It's one of my personal favorites. I was so-so until I realized how often I'd reread it LMAO

What're some of your comfort series? As you can tell I'm not expecting fluff, I'm just curious what your ole reliable is to go back to if you're the type to re-consume content a lot like me? :)

One of my guilty pleasure - [Formless]

As a fan of my evil/toxic fiction just

Mwah

What are some of your favorites that are like what I describe? :) toxic fiction mmmm tasty... (please keep it in fiction though...)

I enjoy that the top doesn't really waver or get redeemed. He just stays possessive and controlling- to the point of injuring MC- until MC starts behaving and acclimates.

I don't mind a well done redemption arc but sometimes I want to rub my hands like a fly and consume something toxic. I hate when stories wimp out and just fix the toxic character.

Likewise I enjoy Ilay to the point of man was raised by a decent family, he's Just Like That. I don't hate a toxic character that heals or has a deeper reason, I just also really enjoy when they're toxic and stay toxic Just Because.

(I do have my limits. Non-Zero Sum is a tough pill to swallow- that's a little too miserable for me.)

Good quality = actually good writing that gives a compelling set of characters and good plot! If you were to rank this it would be 7/10 or higher. This can include stories that end badly but that was the point, like bad endings with red/black flags who win and we're not supposed to be happy and thats the point.

This is a series you will defend with your life as having been written really well.

Guilty Pleasure = It's poor to trashy quality but you just enjoy it anyways. Maybe the art or one character got you, or maybe you enjoyed reading it despite everything! Idk! But if someone else trashed it you would completely understand. On an objective rating you'd give it a 3/10 or lower, but personally 7/10 or higher.

I'm just curious because I really enjoy hearing other people's opinions, but also talking about a story we know is hot trash but god damn do we love it anyways. I love seeing the difference between what you view as good vs what you enjoy despite it being bad
