Is Uni Würzburg KI & Data Science worth it? + Some questions from someone considering transferring
Hey everyone! I'm currently studying at TU Dortmund and seriously thinking about transferring to KI & Data Science at Uni Würzburg for WS 2026/27. Mainly for personal reasons — I just want to leave NRW and Würzburg seems like a really nice city to live in.
Before I make the decision I have a few questions:
**1. Is it worth it overall?**
For people currently in the program or who have finished — would you recommend it? Is the program actually good or is it overhyped? What do you wish you knew before starting?
**2. Exam times (Prüfungstermine)**
When exactly are the exams for the 1st and 2nd semester modules in the Wintersemester? Are they all in February/March or spread throughout the semester?
**3. Nachklausuren / Wiederholungsprüfungen**
If you fail an exam, is there a Nachklausur in the same semester or do you have to wait until the next year? How many attempts do you get total?
**4. Difficulty**
How hard is the program really day-to-day? Is the math as brutal as some reviews suggest or is it manageable if you put in the work?
**5. Student life in Würzburg**
How is the city for students in general? Worth moving there from NRW?
