Really tired of Ai post in this sub
At this point I see around 3-5 AI posts a day whether it be images or walls of text perfectly worded and laid out in the chatgpt or claude style.
Half the time people will get called out and if the OP has any common sense and integrity they will admit that its Ai and they justify it by saying “i just use it for formatting and to condense my thoughts”
which is not bad in itself.
Ai mostly doesn’t bother me, but i’ll tell you what does bother me.
A new update will come out, and the first 10 post representing feedback will be Ai.
Ex: (Hey chatgpt, make me a reddit post regarding the newest runescape update, it includes etc etc, call out points that i don’t like, etc etc).
5 minutes after the update releases and there will be ESSAYS and walls of text just saying random things that barely relate to the new content. This creates a lot of skewed non sincere feedback. Because karma farmers are just trying to be the first to say something that feels important.
The jmods are doing so much work right now to listen to the players, but its reaching a point where they are actually just getting all there feedback and recommendations from chatgpt.
The part that’s really frustrating is that the rules of this sub state AI content is not allowed. But enforcement feels incredibly inconsistent. Some posts get instantly removed while others stay up indefinitely.
Someone post a blatantly Ai image, and multiple people will be in the comments praising the work. But the OP never comes forward, they let everyone believe they made it. *Until* they are called out. But instead of apologizing for passing it off as their own work, they try to justify the use of Ai or say “no one asked so i didn’t think to mention it”
But nonetheless, they admit to it. and even though its against the rules. There is only a 50/50 chance it will be removed.
the rules only get enforced depending on who posted it or how popular the post becomes. So either the rule needs to be removed, or it needs to be more enforced.
I’m just tired of seeing the genuine content get downvoted to oblivion and ridiculed, but the Ai post reach the top of the page and get praise for being well formatted and making solid points (when its not even their own thoughts).
some people think ai is the greatest thing in the world and they use it for valid reasons. And others think it’s lazy, and the dumbest thing to exist. My opinion on it personally doesn’t really matter, and i don’t want the post to revolve around whether the use of ai is ok or not.
I know this is a minor problem right now, but my concerns and the reason for the post is because i think this will eventually become a bigger problem.
