It's okay to not like a drama. It is NOT okay to bully an actor

So, I like many others did not like Perfect Crown. The story was shallow, the press-ons horrendous. In short, it was one big aesthetic nothing burger. Okay to say that.

But I keep seeing people be very mean to the actors, especially IU, with some going as far as saying she can't act. We know for a fact that's just not true.

Just last year IU gave us an objectively excellent performance in When Life Gives You Tangerines. My Mister is also very very good.

Let's constructively critique bad dramas without personal attacks, please.

Being kind is so easy, and important.

THAT BATHROOM SCENE. It looked like he was...😅

Apparently, people think he (Heo Nam-jun) is not absolutely gorgeous?! Insane. But, well, we can't all have good taste. He has an interesting, unique, and objectively aesthetic face.

Now that's settled, please, please, I need to talk to someone about that scene in episode 2 of My Royal Nemesis with him in the shower. Starting at 23:40. Netflix won't let me screenshot. Girllllllllllll.

Somebody talk to me about this, please.

I was watching a drama today and randomly remembered that for a few months last summer I could not leave the house. Life was happening and I had slumped into a terrible depressive episode. Kdramas, I realise now, were the absolute best harm reduction. I'd just open my laptop and watch and watch until I slept, and repeat.

They stayed with me and kept me company until life slowly started to pick back up and I could seek out treatment and get better.

I'm doing good now and currently watching Perfect Crown. Watching dramas these days feels like visiting with a dear friend. It also gives me a reason to be part of a community of people with this interest. And some of the very best stories I've encountered have been kdramas. So I'm feeling very grateful to the genre(?) and wanted to hear from others: WHY DO YOU WATCH KDRAMAS?
