Why dont SRH issue season passes even at 0% discount.
One of the biggest problem when our matches are against CSK or RCB is the large number of opposition fans who try to takeover the stadium, now I understand that ticket sales cant be made selectively, but what I suggest is that SRH should start issuing season passes, 1 ticket for 7 home matches, they dont need to provide any discount for that, if 1 match ticket is Rs.2500 sell the pass for Rs.17,500, but what it makes sure is that more SRH fans get tickets, if not, during popular matches such as CSK or RCB, online ticketing portals dont differentiate between the 2 fan bases, and that really ends up favoring the opposition a lot due to their fan base.
It is understandable that it may also result in black marketing of these season passes, as someone could just buy it for easier access to popular matches, for that maybe the passes can be id restricted, so only the person who has purchased it, can use it. but can also give a bit of flexibility like offering 1 transfer during the season.
season passes can also probably be restricted to certain stands in the stadium, which will also help SRH to develop Ultras culture in IPL, since SRH management already knows who all will be there in that particular season stand for the season, they can coordinate with the season pass holders to organize placard performances with stand wide patterns. Since all the season pass holders will already be id verified, there will not be much issue regarding security, the same is impossible with general tickets as id's arent verified and most of the time the purchaser and actual attender are different.
SRH home ground should be filled with only SRH chants not opposition, the management could start with a few stands and if its well accepted it can be expanded to a large portion of the stadium. I feel Rs.17,500 or even Rs.25,000 for a season pass experience and perks of being part of a ultras culture.
No one is asking the team to lose revenue, they can probably increase revenue with this.
