Is it too late in the season to be hired?
Hi all!
Context: I’ve been working in hospitality almost my entire adult life. Currently work as a wine bar bartender and a catering manager at a boutique Hilton, but really looking to venture into something and someplace new. I had a friend who worked in forestry in Juneau, Alaska from April-October one year, so I got the idea to look into seasonal bartending/server jobs up there.
With it being May, am I too late to have much luck? I’ve applied online to a few places and haven’t heard back. Is there another place in the country (or even abroad) I should check out? Not too picky about the work. I also have a degree in journalism, experience in marketing & analytics, and some wine certifications.
Looking for advice on next steps! Thanks!
