I’ve been wondering whether an Ishta Devata is connected to only one lifetime or stays with the soul across all births until moksha. Can someone’s Ishta change over different lives according to karmas and spiritual growth, or is it eternally the same deity?
I’ve also heard that some people chant Shri Ganesha mantras like “Om Gam Ganapataye Namah” to receive clarity about who their Ishta Devata truly is, since Ganesha removes obstacles and guides the path. Is this actually mentioned in any tradition or has anyone experienced this personally?

Can anybody explain this Iconography of Maa? I find it very similar to off Maa Kali? Is this form a mixture of Mahakali and Mahalakshmi? Is this the Maa Kamala (the tantric Swaroop of Maa Lakshmi). I am feeling that is specific Swaroopa of Mahadevi is calling me next to to herself.
