Trying to grow users on a game reviewing app
I am ~6 weeks into building out QuickSave, a social game reviewing app on ios. The product is in a solid place and we are seeing strong engagement from early users (friends & family plus a handful of organic users from app store search). While there are plenty of features left to build, we want to start to stress test product-market fit with additional users.
How can I drive downloads/traffic to the app? Do I just need to bite the bullet on paid ads (Google, Instagram, etc)? As this app would rely on network effects, can I facilitate word-of-mouth spread with existing users somehow? I am also interested in guerrilla marketing methods in my local community as a starting point (large US city). Any advice appreciated - thank you!
