Subaru Outback Towing a Camper
I have a 2017 Subaru outback with a towing capacity of 2700 I believe. And I just got a pop-up camper that is 1300 dry weight with no sink in it anymore or fridge or stove or anything like that. I was just told that I might have to be worried about my transmission if I haul it. Is that true?
Also when I’m going over bumps, it feels like I’m toggling back-and-forth like it’s pulling and then slack, like it’s jerky. It’s never when going uphill or down or stopping. Just when it’s bumpy basically. What could that be??
We got a pop up because of the lower weight and profile so it’s a little worrisome. I would rather keep it obviously and getting a different car isn’t an option either. TIA
