I just finished a month of Wegovy Pen 0.25mg. Insurance isn't going to cover it so I'm switching to compounded tirzepatide.

I was prescribed 1.5mg for the first 2 weeks, then 3mg every week after, but I'm considering starting with 2.5mg and keeping that dose for as long as I am seeing results. I tolerated Wegovy pretty well.

Is this a bad idea or should I stick with how it was prescribed?
