when is it okay?
So, last thursday, we had to put our 2 year old cat, remi down. He was born with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which went undetected until he was in congestive heart failure. That’s a whole other story though.
We got him for me briefly following a mental health crisis as well as the loss of our dog (it’d been 8 months), and we of course weren’t ready to and did not expect to lose him so suddenly, the chances seemingly low, especially after our dog got sick at only 4.
When is it okay to get another cat? I’ve loved the experience of having a cat, I certainly didn’t want it to end so soon.
My heart aches for MY cat and I obviously can’t replace him, but my heart also aches for a cat, a baby, someone to take care of.
Let me know your thoughts
