some thoughts as an indian

hi ive seen some posts from this sub pop on my feed and just thought id share some perspective (if this isnt the place for this typa post feel free to delete)

not all indians are like the ones you see spreading hate and obsessing with pakistan. i always see comments talking about "theyre obsessed" i promise esp in south india no one gives a damn its j the unemployed mfs also theres way too many indians in general so you tend to see a lot of it. majority of people are normal and mind their own business and it was just surprising seeing the amount of slurs and hate (ik it goes both ways) when i kinda expected a bit better from gen Z but yeah thats it cheers

do indie artists perform with backing tracks?

so this is more like to artists who have a decent enough audience to play shows but not so famous where they have a big budget and can splurge on a backing band. cuz as an artist i am starting to perform and im wondering if i need to have a whole ass band with me always

music industry was always difficult

I see a lot of discourse on how making music nowadays is so difficult and posting on social media to promote the music feels weird and you end up feeling more like a content creator than artist and i completely agree, but i think a lot of people forget it was just as brutal then like you didnt have to push urself onto people but if you got lucky enough to even get with a record label you'd be signing deals that would barely make you money and youd basically be selling your soul away. the music industry was never something that was easier to do it just changed the format
