NYU vs. BU vs. WashU
I just got off the waitlist for NYU (Liberal Studies Core) and WashU after putting down my deposit for BU.
I’m trying to decide between these three schools, and would love it if people could provide their opinion on which I should choose based on things I want:
1 Academics: I will be majoring in English, so I’m curious how each stack up against each other in terms of their English programs.
2 Social life: I would like to have the option to go out to parties around every week/every other week, or just a generally socially active school. I definitely don’t want to be somewhere where I feel isolated from others or people just stay in all the time focused on academics.
3 Location: I prefer being in slightly busier cities, so I know BU and NYU would be great, but a bit concerned about St. Louis. I heard the city was kind of dead/not that much going on there these days compared to Boston or New York.
4 Study Abroad: I know all these schools probably have good study abroad programs, but since I’m planning on doing at least a semester abroad (if not, a year) so if a school stands out for its study abroad programs, that would be helpful too.
5 Anything else: Finally, if you think there’s some other very convincing reason to choose one of these schools over the others, please let me know!
I have until May 18 to decide, so kind of stressing…
Money/price is not a factor for my family.
