I am enclosing a patio and converting to a dining room.
Is it possible to skim coat over a patio stucco wall with all purpose mud to provide a surface for knockdown texture?

I will enclosing a 10x10 patio. I will removing the sliding door. The problem is a step down of about 2 inches from the inside flooring to the patio level.
Is it ok to pour a concrete slab on top of the outdoor tile so the floor is even with the interior floor? Or is it advisable to remove the tile first then pour the concrete slab?
Or leave as it and use then step down as and install tile over the existing floor.
I plan to install the same interior tile on the patio side to match. So looking for the best way to do so.
