Maces Hit, Swords Crit, Axes....?

It's my understanding that the old school medieval fantasy archetypal Cleric wields a mace because maces were better suited for fighting undead. Swords could land critical hits for better damage, but undead (the Cleric's enemy #1) were immune to critical hits, and the higher damage (but lack of critical hits) from a mace was preferred for Clerics.

To fit into the archetype idea, Clerics use Maces, Knights use Swords, Barbarians use Axes, but why?

Maces had better flat damage.

Swords could land critical hits.

What did axes do? What reason was there for a warrior to specialize in using an axe? Was it something that synergized with an older RPG's mechanics for Barbarians, or just that a greataxe fits the ~vibe~ of a Barbarian very well?

The Nefarious Cube

Has anyone used theirs? I remember getting it when SP nerfed Mataneo into the dirt. Every now and then I get the idea to use it, but I don't want to use it and end up regretting it. Can you get more.

The cube taunts me from the bottom of my inventory, and I don't know if it wants to be used or if it wants me to use it in folly.

Bad Dog (of Morkai)?

I leveled him for awhile to make an anti-Magnus team for GR, but now I've realized he's not that good for that. Now I use him for Infiltrate against Re'Vas in GR and Arena/whatever else needs an Imperium guy to get around Overwatch.

Was it a mistake to get him to G3? Is there a Big Thing that uses him that I'm not aware of?

Does Anyone Enjoy Campaign Events?

Aside from the sales opportunity using FOMO to sell bundles, I do not see a benefit to having new campaigns be time-limited, especially as a player. Does anyone enjoy these campaigns being time-gated instead of permanent like the others?
