Will it get better or is it just passive hope?

Hey guys!

I noticed that in a lot of conversations online, and even in real life, when someone voices out their concerns about the lack of employment and how hard it is for them to find an opportunity despite them graduating several years ago, the most common piece of advice is, "It will get better".

While I get the importance of optimism, it makes me wonder if this advice is really helpful to the individuals receiving it. I think it leaves no room for reflection, no room for them to create a strategy that might help them get an opportunity, and it leaves no room for growth. It's more like encouraging the individual to just passively wait for better days.

Would a better approach not be to share the tips and insights that worked for people who have been in these situations but successfully got a job or started a successful venture?

I'd love if y'all share with me your thoughts on the matter, thanks!
