Retake 513 MCAT/ Insight on application
Tested 4/24 and pretty gutted with my 513 score (127/127/130/129), as my last 3 FLs were 517,516,517, typically scoring 128 on CARS and 129-130 on CP. I'm IP for Ontario schools and UofA (but not UofC due to their 24 month residency rule).
I'm wondering if it would be worth it to retake in July in hopes of scoring 128 on the CARS section to maximize chance at Mac/ UofC. Context for the rest of my app: 3.83 GPA (3.96 for Western) Varsity athlete, Academic All-Canadian award + multiple academic scholarships over the years, clinical experience at a sleep clinic for a few month post graduation, and then as an Intraoperative Neurophysiologist (worked closely with surgeons + anesthetists in operating rooms, and did this job both in Canada and overseas in Australia and had genuine patient responsibility in this role), a few undergrad pre-med club executive positions, volunteer golf coach at course in Ontario, long term sports involvement/playing career (golf, hockey, rugby) + Competed in 2 Hyrox races last year. Recently taken up new hobbies, tennis, cooking etc. which I may or may not include. Taken Casper twice and scored 4Q both times, WL'd at Queens 2 cycles ago (did not apply last cycle as I was overseas).
Looking for any insight/ help in broadening my application before the next cycle!
