VeteranLocke Journey, Lets win the fifth gym badge

VeteranLocke Journey, Lets win the fifth gym badge

Greetings, everyone.

The time has come to fight for the fifth Gym Badge.

Since the last report, both Biohazard and Yu have earned promotions within the ranks, further strengthening our veteran core. In preparation for this crucial battle, I have entrusted Biohazard with the BlackGlasses, while Yu now carries the Quick Claw. Every advantage matters as we move deeper into this campaign.

I won't deny that this Gym concerns me. Our team lacks Pokémon capable of dealing consistent super-effective damage, which means brute force alone may not be enough to secure victory. This battle will demand patience, strategy, and discipline.

Fortunately, we have powerful assets at our disposal. Biohazard has continued to prove his worth, and Nate the Swalot has delivered outstanding results throughout the campaign. Anticipating the challenge ahead, both of them have been taught Toxic, a weapon that may prove essential in bringing down the mighty Slaking.

The enemy is strong, and one mistake could cost us dearly. But every battle we have fought, every loss we have endured, and every promotion we have earned has led us to this moment.

The fifth badge stands before us.

May our strategy hold, may our veterans prevail, and may this campaign continue its march toward glory.

More updates will follow.

Report for the fourth gym badge #4

Greetings, everyone.

Today I bring a report from the front lines as we prepare for the battle for the fourth Gym Badge.

Our campaign has not been without sacrifice. Don Quixote the Azumarill fell in battle against a Camerupt, giving his life in service of the mission. To fill the void left behind, Rebs the Numel was recruited into the squad. Sadly, his journey was cut short as well. During a fierce encounter with a Geodude, fate dealt a cruel hand—a devastating Magnitude 10 struck while Rebs was underground using Dig, ending his service before it had truly begun.

Though their losses weigh heavily on the team, the campaign must continue.

At the center of our hopes stands Yu. At this moment, he cannot be removed from the active roster, for he is only one rank away from achieving the legendary status of Legend. Every battle from this point forward carries the potential to immortalize his name among the greatest veterans this challenge has ever seen.

Meanwhile, Biohazard stands on the threshold of his own promotion. One more battle will elevate him to Veteran rank, granting him the right to carry held items and making him an even greater asset for the trials ahead.

All of our preparations, every promotion, every sacrifice, and every strategic decision are focused on a single objective: the upcoming Gym battle. This fight may very well determine the fate of the entire VeteranLocke. Victory will carry us forward, while defeat could bring the campaign to an abrupt end.

No matter what happens next, we march onward carrying the memory of those who fell before us.

In memory of Don Quixote and Rebs. Their service will not be forgotten.

More updates will follow.

VeteranLocke, Third Gym badge, its going incredible #3

Hello everyone,

This is the team I'll be taking into the third Gym battle.

Yu has been an absolute carry throughout the entire run. He dominated the third rival battle, and since he was promoted to Veteran during that fight, his participation in the battle against Wally was mandatory. Not only that, but he practically secured the third Gym Badge on his own.

At this point, Yu is just one battle away from reaching Legend status, a milestone that very few Pokémon ever achieve in this challenge.

The newer recruits, such as Nate and Bonice, have also shown a great deal of promise. They still have much to prove, but their potential is undeniable, and I expect them to play important roles in the battles to come.

The campaign continues, and the road ahead grows more dangerous with every step. For now, the team stands strong, and our sights are set on the next challenge.

I'll keep posting updates as the journey continues.

Second bade, VeteranLocke #2

Hello everyone,

Here is a progress report as we approach the second Gym Badge.

So far, everything has been going according to plan. The team has performed well, morale is high, and we have managed to avoid any major setbacks. This will be the squad marching into the battle for our second badge.

We don't have as many Flying-types as I would normally like for this Gym, but at the moment I don't think that will be a problem as long as Omama continues performing as well as she has so far.

The campaign continues, and another challenge awaits us. With a bit of luck and the strength of our team, the second badge will soon be ours.

More updates will follow.

VeteranLocke, Restart and new journey

Hello everyone! My previous VeteranLocke run was accidentally deleted, so now I have to start all over from scratch. For those who don't know what a VeteranLocke is, I'll leave an explanation in the comments for anyone interested.

Basically, this is the progress I've made before earning the first Gym Badge. Due to the rules of the challenge, I'll have to wait until I battle the Gym Leader before evolving Dionisio. That way, I'll have a strong Pokémon ready for the next Gym and be able to beat it more quickly.

I'll keep posting updates as the run progresses.

Dante is the goat right now.

Veteran Locke Report,The massacre, new gen its coming

In the gym battle, Soldier Tadeo and Recruit Bonifacio fell in combat. Tadeo was defeated by a boosted Machop, while Bonifacio was taken down by the same Machop through a critical hit. After the loss of his comrades, Recruit-turned-Soldier Constantin defeated the Gym with a series of Rollouts that brought down the enemy Machop, Meditite, and Makuhita.

These deaths mean a great deal to the team, as they were among the original members of the squad. In their honor, Constantin was awarded a rosary to commemorate his fallen comrades.

Following the Gym battle, new recruits have joined the team, and much is expected from each of them. However, we have a problem: we do not have strong enough captures to reliably defeat the third Gym Leader. The next strategy will be to defeat the rival using Perturabo, Phonia, and Horus in order to promote them, allowing them to evolve before the Gym battle.

Further updates will be provided.

Rest in peace, Tadeo and Bonifacio.

Raskolnikov was defeated on battle

The Recruit Raskolnikov was defeated by Petra's Nosepass after a critical hit Rock Tomb. We got overconfident, and the squad suffered its first defeat.

The recruit was just about to earn permission to evolve following his promotion to Soldier, but sadly, he never made it that far.

He will be remembered as the one who carried the gym battle and as the squad's first fallen comrade.

Tadeo and Constantin will continue in his honor.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would also like to introduce the newest recruit to the crew. Phonia the Zubat has great potential.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the team that will face the second gym, Tadeo, and Constantin just evolved, I wonder if Raskolnikov made that those two decided to evolve.

The GOATS going for the first badge

My recruits are about to learn what life on the battlefield is really like.

Tadeo has already earned his rank as a Soldier, but the question remains: does he have what it takes to lead this squad to victory?

The campaign has begun, and our first objective awaits: the first Gym.

I have a very good team

Tadeo: Soldier
Raskolnikov: Recruit
Constantin: Recruit

VeteranLocke, the start of the journey.

Hello everyone

A while ago, I made a post asking for ideas for a new challenge run. After reading all the suggestions and feedback, I finally settled on an idea that I'm calling the VeteranLocke.

This challenge follows the traditional Nuzlocke rules but adds a military themed progression system. Throughout the adventure, your team members will climb through military ranks based on their achievements and service. Below are the rules for anyone interested in trying the challenge or following my run.

Rules

  1. Only the first Pokémon encountered on each route may be caught.
  2. Nicknames are mandatory for all Pokémon.
  3. If a Pokémon faints, it is considered dead and can no longer be used.
  4. The game must be played in Set Mode.
  5. Healing items cannot be used during battle.
  6. Purchasing healing items is not allowed.
  7. Duplicate captures are not allowed.
  8. Pokémon may not exceed the Gym Leader's highest level before a Gym battle.
  9. During Gym battles, you may only use the same number of Pokémon as the Gym Leader.

Recruit

All newly caught Pokémon start at this rank. Recruits cannot evolve and cannot hold items.

Soldier

A Pokémon reaches this rank after participating in 1 Gym Leader or Rival battle. Soldiers may now evolve, but they still cannot hold items.

Veteran

A Pokémon reaches this rank after participating in 3 Gym Leader or Rival battles. Veterans may now hold items. However, they cannot be voluntarily removed from the team; they must faint before being replaced.

Captain

A Pokémon reaches this rank after participating in 5 Gym Leader or Rival battles. Captains cannot be voluntarily removed from the team. If a Captain dies, one team slot must remain empty until the next Gym battle, representing the team's loss of morale.

Legend

A Pokémon reaches this rank after participating in 7 Gym Leader or Rival battles. Legends cannot be voluntarily removed from the team. Their names become part of the challenge's history. If a Legend dies, one team slot must remain empty for the next two major battles.

LEGACY SYSTEM

If a Veteran, Captain, or Legend dies, the next Pokémon caught will symbolically inherit their name and legacy. This Pokémon immediately skips the Recruit rank and starts as a Soldier.

RANKING SYSTEM

FINAL

The goal of the challenge is to bring as many experienced team members as possible to the Pokémon League.

Bronze

Fewer than three Veterans survive.

Silver

Three or four Veterans survive.

Gold

Five or more Veterans survive.

Platinum

All six final team members are Veterans, Captains, or Legends.

Legendary

All six final team members survive, and at least four of them have reached the rank of Legend.

I'm excited to see how this challenge goes and whether anyone else wants to give it a try. Feel free to share feedback, suggestions, or your own VeteranLocke experience

Im tired of Nuzlockes I need some ideas

Hi everyone

I need ideas for my next Pokémon Emerald run. I’ve already completed a 100% run, so I’m looking for a new challenge to keep things interesting.

I’ll post the best suggestion on Reddit and give credit to whoever came up with it.

Sorry if my English isn’t perfect it’s not my first language.
