My son works in a small office type environment, with about 12 people covering a 24hr operation. So people are coming and going through the day and night.
Working hours are recorded on an A4 sheet of paper with people signing in and out, recording their start/end times etc, which is then signed off in each 12 hour period by the team leader(s).
Some of the staff have taken photos of the complete or part-complete time sheets as there have been issues with salary underpayments.
Management have now instructed that photos cannot be taken of the filled-in timesheets due to data protection laws.
Can they do this?
